About GHEF

The Grassroots Humanitarian and Empowerment Foundation (GHEF) was founded by the African Representative of United States Latino American Chamber of Commerce (USLACC), Ambassador Ifeoma Mary Ejiogu. It was registered in Nigeria with Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC) as The Grassroots Humanitarian and Empowerment Foundation and the NGO’s registration Certificate, including the EFCC SCUML certificate were secured.

GHEF is a milestone in race activities of USLACC Africa which over the years with Ambassador Ifeoma and her patrons and partners execute diverse programs, events, projects and social awareness to bring Africa to limelight in the Global market spectrum. Therefore, GHEF has been created to leverage those giant strides USLACC Africa has made to impact the people up to the grassroots.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Ifeoma has designed strategies and models to ensure that members (adults and youths) benefit from good education, health facilities, vocational studies, skills acquisition, technology and digital training programs, international exposures, entrepreneurship development, training opportunities, scholarships, project financing, grants and loans with other empowerment packages that can be unfolding in future.

  • The Concept of GHEF

    GHEF, by principle is in consonant with the fundamental principles that sum up the movement ethics of humanitarianism which by implication can help people in need, during armed conflict, natural disasters and other emergencies covering humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, volunteer service, unity and universality. In the nutshell, GHEF Was built on helping people to find solution, guided by compassion and humanism.

    Moreover, GHEF steps up to help people in building capacity to generate income, reduce unemployment, joblessness, poverty and hunger. thereby making the world a better place, caring and connected.

  • Background of GHEF

    GHEF is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisans, non-tribal and non-religious organization which stands on the principles of humanitarianism to provide solution and help, even people at the grassroots in Africa.

  • The Scope

    GHEF is a continental program that provides short term, life-saving support in emergencies, which in economic development, focuses on long term change like trainings and infrastructure and technology hub centers.

  • GHEF Economic Empowerment

    GHEF champions Global endowment fund raising drive to end economic crunches especially with the African youths, by launching technology project programs and events that engage old and new entrepreneurs in African. The target is to empower 50 million African youth on technology development and trainings through building a

    100-dollar endowment fund structure, and with the fund in place, the empowerment events can be a reality. This is a 10 years development program beginning from 2026 to 2036. Our focus remains to innovate solutions, advocate for change in the economic life of the African youths, and reach out to the grassroots targeting 50 million youths, with proven series of economic events, programs, training and business summits yearly.

  • Leadership Strategies

    As a non-profit organization that works across the 54 African countries, we engage the principle of mapping and leadership structuring that covers the community with dedicated staff. members, partners and patrons, volunteer workers including community leaders, to help address the root causes of poverty, and the associated societal vices that include climate change, conflict, on equity, insecurity and emergencies. We strive to create opportunities that can unlock economic growth in all the regions to make life better for the people.

SOME OF GHEF’S PROGRAMS

Unlike top-down, development, GHEF approach emphasizes community-led initiatives and local knowledge to drive problem solving and prosperity to the grassroots, GHEF believes in giving opportunity to people at the remote areas of our community, increase the ability of such individuals to enjoy projects created, based on the specific needs, concerns, and voices of the community themselves.

Moreover, GHEF makes empowerment to improve on the value addition and foster trust and sense of self sufficiency. There is provision to involve local people in decision-making, defining goals and solutions which can enable them at the grassroots to feel relevant and more invested in the outcomes. Also empowering local communities can lead to more sustainable and long-term change.
